Lætitia created for MÁTI a series of ten vases in Murano glass and stones found in the Swiss mountains during last summer, mainly in the Val d'Anniviers. Some rocks are like “Suiseki”, figuring perfectly the green Swiss mountains with some rivers and eternal snow, quietly roamed by some black Herens caws. An organic dialogue is created between these two elements and a symbiosis between strength and serenity emerges. Talking about her approach, Laetitia says: “Blowing glass around stone, listening to it, is for me a celebration of the beauty of the ordinary. I seek simplicity, the poetry of the raw while keeping the functionality of the object.”
